Beautiful. I saw these last year and was determined to have some for my flower bed this year. I love how the flower is shaped. I don't know much about them, but I understand they are perennial, so means I will have them year after year if I care for them properly. Including photo of my new ranunculus.

You are fortunate that these should overwinter outside in your climate. I am getting many different colors now and the reds are real knockouts, aren't they? My camera really exaggerates reds, so I haven't been able to get a good picture of them yet. I hope yours do well for you.

Oh oops, these didn't overwinter. I just purchased them in April at our local store. They were from Canada. I transplanted them from their pots into the containers and transplanted the rest into the ground in the flower bed. I don't know if they will overwinter without some extra care even in our mild winters. As I said, I don't know much about them. I often times just cross my fingers and hope and see what takes and what doesn't. It's trial and error for me. I hope these guys make it though, cause I just love their bright colors and shape of the flowers.

From what I have heard, there are plenty of plants that flourish along the Washington coast...just ask a neighbor who has a pretty yard what they are growing and chances are, they will offer you some!
We are vacationing out there in June...first time to see the northwest. I am excited about it.
