Hey this says its chinese lantern plant, strawberry ground cheryy is that just another name for the plant or is this? Im confused, the reason I ask is I planted Lanterns in my garden last year they did great. This year

somethine grew back that looks just like this pic, and I have been pulling them thinking they were weeds :( I have sinned!.... I think

These were planted once in a small area, and they flourish on their own - to the point of having to pull them from outside of where they were wanted. I imagine that if you didn't pull up all of the seedlings, you'll still get a fine show. They're so lovely later in the season!
