What you have here is actually a Mexican HAT Plant (not Mexican Love Plant, confusing, I know), otherwise known as Kalanchoe daigremontiana or Bryophyllum daigremontianum. With the Love Leafs, the leaf actually grows roots into the soil and that's when the babies form around the edges, and the leaves are more rounded and flat. I think that your original plant was mislabeled. It's a beauty, though! :)
