Hi Ladyannne! That's a very good picture of your honeysuckle. I was wondering if you could tell me if the Hall's Honeysuckle is invasive and if so how bad? I just bought one that is about 2' tall and was wondering about where I should place it. Do you have any luck growing honeysuckle in pots?

Thanx,
Mark

Hi, Mark. Sorry so long it took to respond! This is definitely considered invasive. We planted one vine a few years back, it has taken over the entire area, unfortunately wrapping itself around our three year old Charlie Brown Aptos Blue tree. In three years time, it sticks out from the fence by about three feet. However (there is good news) all we have to do is chop it back every time we feel it is getting out of hand. Without mercy, as long as we dont go into the main stem, its fine. Whack, whack. The reward for this plant is the multitude of guests including every bee and hummer, the smell (serious childhood memories) and the vision of millions of flowers for a great deal of the entire summer. I would guess a pot would work as long as you don't mind it staying small?
