I recently purchased a small leaf rake at Family Dollar for $3.00, it's about 1/3 the size of a regular leaf rake and has an extendable handle. Originally I bought it to clean leaves from under my Mom's shrubs but it has been invaluable while mulching and planting flowers this spring. It's just the right size to move mulch around between plants and get in small spaces or under shrubs.
Just thought I'd mention it since it's saved meso much work!
