We recently picked up a patio table frame through Freecycle and after checking the prices for new glass (ouch) and a couple other options which weren't any cheaper, decided we would put a plywood top on the table. We found a 1/2 inch maple sheet we liked and brought it home and my talented hubby routed it to shape.Then it was my turn. I didn't want just a plain wood table top so I sat around wracking my brains for a few days and also talked with a few DGer's and here is the saga of what I came up with.. first of all.. the lovely table frame.
