Hi
I was wondering which variety of Stokes aster you have? The picture is beautiful and the plants look extremely healthy. I planted one under a tree but it does not have the height or blooms you have gotten. Do you have any tips?
Hello wisdomskr,
I don't know the variety of this aster but I'll send seeds if you like. These pictures were taken May 31, 2008 beneath the same slow growing (it doesn't like the SC heat) Sugar Maple. Only requirement to keeping the asters healthy is watering during dry weather. The plants turn ugly with insufficient moisture, so they've already been trimmed to the ground.
