Does anyone know why I would get white areas(void of color) on the petals of my daylilies? I'm thinking maybe wild temperature fluctuations or lack of water?Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Some of my purples and reds will spot up if the buds get beat up by rain or we have really cold nights.

Well, it's one of the things that causes it. I notice it the most on my deep-south purples like Forbidden Fantasy. Chance Encounter is another one that blotches up terrible if the weather isn't absolutely perfect. In fact, I don't think I ever got a nice bloom on it the whole time I had it.
