The last cat died a bit more than a year ago. My husband said "no more"! :-(
So no animals except the neighbour's cat who thinks she owns the whole neighbourhood and the pesky squirrels which regularly dig up my garden.

One pooch, a smiling Samoyed that we welcomed into our lives and home almost a year ago, when she was nearly a year old. No cats, as we have several bluebird houses, and are happy to report many generations have nested in our yard over the past several years. We also have dozens of shubunkin, comets and plain goldfish in our ponds.

Rabbits, possum, coyotes, deer all sometimes wander into the yard, but they're definitely not pets, and are not terribly welcome.

I'd guess I'll vote the first choice, seeing as you don't have "humans" listed I guess "other" will have to do.
I have two, Tim, & Paulette. I've owned them since I was just a "pup".
They're pretty well house broken now, and do most things I want them to. They do think they "own" the place but I'm working on that every day. I still have to beg to get them to drive me around, and I have to keep at least one of them on a leash when I take them for a walk. But all things considered they're pretty good, as most humans go.

This year our neighbor 2 doors down (who had let his yard go back to nature for 25 years) sold his house. The contractors immediately went in and cut, plowed, and ripped every bit of the jungle down. Now our yard is so full of birds- Bluejays nesting next to the bedroom (why oh why did the loudest bird pick the bedroom side of the house?), Wrens, Sparrows, Yellowbellied Flickers, Catbirds (in the grape arbor), Cardinals, Robins, Titmice, Chickadees, and Nuthatches. It's quite wonderful for us, but I'm sad for wildlife losing their safe homes in the brambles.

We have 5 fur children: feline type. Molly Cat, The Mercy Cat, Rosebuddy, Byzantina, and TutBuddy. They were all rescues. Each has his or her own excentricities. Molly squeaks instead of saying Meow. Rosebuddy is more like a dog than a cat: we call her our cog.
TutBuddy sings a little meowy song and is the boyfriend of 2 of the others. They clean him and come to him to be loved. Byzzy kisses DH on the mouth. The Mercy Cat has her own special red chair that no other kitty can sit on. They are all so different, I can't believe anyone ever thinks that they don't have some kind of a soul.

I don't know what I'd do without them for company on the long days without DH..

I have sheep, goats, cattle, farm cats, a rat terrier , roosters, a goose, three ponies and an old mare in retirement. I keep goldfish in stock tanks to keep down mosquito larvae and I stock my fishing ponds for the Grandkids to fish in.

I am a Wildlife friendly farmer and leave some wild plants and brushpiles for them. The Canadian thistle alone attracts hords of American Goldfinch and butterflies. I leave dead trees to house owls , etc... Also I try not to spray with chemicals unless I absolutely have to.

We have semi-retired barn cat Ernie, who keeps the squirrel population to a minimum (but has a bad habit of stockpiling the dead ones in the basement, ugh!)

We have 2 cats and 3 dogs and a siamese kitten will be joining us in a couple days. He is being rescued from the animal shelter but needs his shots before they will release him. I'm very tempted to take half the animal shelter home but the DH wouldn't be pleased. The 5 pets at home wouldn't be two impressed either!
I have an Orange Tabby with enough attitude for everyone plus a welcoming comittee made up of a terri-poo, a terrier/cocker cross, and a rotti.
At night when the welcoming comittee is in the porch for the night, the rabbits come out and skip around like they own the place!

Awww...great photos of everyone's furry friends (ahem...especially yours, Bogweedbuck, lol!)

Quite a diverse collection amongst the lot of us!

We have a housedog, and several cats outdoors (we do live in the country)

Got our dog, Harley, from a family who was moving away and couldn't take him along...about 6 years ago. He's supposedly 1/2 chihuahua and 1/2 Rat Terrier...I'd take a photo, but he's *terribly* camera shy...he 'cowers' when I try to take one!
Anyone else have a dog that does that?

It was hard to pick just one -- we have six assorted cats, one Great Pyrannes pup (currently digging her way to China in the middle of the back yard), seven goats I bottled this spring, one horse, and the cattle. Here's the boss cat, LR. I rescued him from the roadside when he was tiny, and he's my best buddy. No, he's not always pleasant, but he loves me! Patricia

Use to have dogs and gerbils and a bunny then had to move and adopted them all out till we got settled. Then it dawned on us that our son who had previously never gone more then a few months without being in the hospital with an asthma attack had not had any problems. Been 10yrs now pet free and hospital free too so I guess no animals for me at least until he is out on his own.

Darleen: "weren't we all 10 pounds lighter last year?"

ROFL...so true, so true. So sad but, so true.

We're allergic to most animals that have hair and dander. Have to content ourselves with kois. Don't have names for all of them yet, but Stealth is at the bottom of the pic (used to be dark brown and blended in with the bottom of the pond), Mithril (silvery white) is at the top, Trista (orange and white) is next to Mithril, and Panda (black and white) is partially covered up by Trista. They love to be hand fed with dried shrimp and have their tails flipped...sort of like a summersault.

There wasn't any place for me to vote so I didn't vote. I would have voted OTHER if it had been there.

We raise goats, and sheep, koi and bluegill sunfish and also bullfrogs for sale. We also have calves, dogs, and cats. People are always wanting to come see all our critters and pet some of them so I guess we should charge admission and just call it a petting zoo.

When I was younger I can remember my Mom telling people that I had had every animal on the planet except plaid mice. Since those don't exist I guess she was right. LOL

We have dogs, multiple fish and one cat. We don't exactly "raise" them, though -- spaying and neutering are a must for any 4-footed critters joining our household.

We have Sarah and Emma (dogs) and Hattie (cat). The goldfish in the pond and tropical fish in the aquarium don't have names. No, I take that back, we call the striped Raphael catfish "Sarah" because it gets as excited about fish food as our dog Sarah gets about dog food!

    Here's the fish called sarah:

5 himalayans, 2 german shepherds, 31 chickens (some look normal, but lay blue/green eggs, some are furry (silkies) some are huge with feathered legs and spots (silver laced cochins). 14 miniature goats (nigerian dwarf) 6 african geese, and a batch of gold fish in a garden pond. I've only got 3 acres in the country, but everyone that has ever been here refers to it as 'the farm". No children, but LOTS of babies!
