You mentioned the name of a vine that I have but could not identify. I bought it at Lowes and it was labelled Akebia quinnata but Akebia it is not!!! The vine I have is variegated with a wavy edge to the leaf - is it the porcelain vine - I think it just came to me...lol. It is showing signs of producing berries right now. I think you said be careful where we site it - remember?
Louisa - Hi! Mine seems to be setting its berries, too - and it is really filling out. I will post a picture in the photo forum for you. I just remember our product training at J&P and how they said to put porcelain berry vine on a very sturdy structure because it is a "vigorous" grower. Ya know what "vigorous" usually translates to! Kind of like "self sows readily" and "naturalizes quickly". LOL
