Well, I started growing dahlias a few years ago, and I can't remember how I originally stumbled on the Old House Gardens catalogue, but this year I tried out some heirlooms for the first time. Here are the first two to bloom in my garden, both have so far been outstanding as far as form and plant shape/sturdiness, I'm definitely happy to be growing these old cultivars. I'm certainly going to be on the lookout for heirlooms of other plants in the future, something about the history in the plants has got me hooked. Anyway, enjoy.
This is "Little Beeswings," introduced in 1909.
