broots, Thank you so much! It is interesting to see the variability of the outer blue band on this flower; on some corollas the band is darker than is show in the picture, all nice and blue however when they first unfurl in the morning.
Wow, thanks for your awesome comment! You are right on target with the un-digital observation...I use a Minolta X-700 SLR, usually with a normal lens, and 200 ASA Fuji print film, in morning light. In 23 years of using this camera, I believe I have taken maybe less than 10 bad pictures, and those I attribute to personal errors and not to the camera. Pity it is no longer made by Minolta, but there is a lot of equipment available if I need to replace a body, lens or flash.
