I have decided to paint my kitchen cabinets. It's not a permantent fix, but untill I can afford to replace them, SOMETHING MUST BE DONE! I don't mind their color much at all. It is just that they are cheap. Fiberboard and the paint is starting to rub off where they are touched and it looks perpetually dirty to me. I stongly desire some color in my house. I have a very small house and I've kept with the white monochromatic color scheme (if you consider white a color) to help the rooms feel larger than they are. It does help but white is boring. So how to introduce color without making me feel clostrophobic?
I thought about just accenting the framed portion of the cabinet doors with a nice red. I love red in the kitchen.
Here is a pic, does mind my mess.
