Years ago I had a 20+ AV plant collection that I grew on the top of the book shelf that sat on my desk. Above them I had a 2 bulb shop lamp hanging from the ceiling that had a cool and a warm bulb in it. The av's loved the location and in the winter time I did too as I suffered from SAD and the light helped immensely.

Unfortunately I lost all my plants about the same time I was diagnosed with cancer (I would forget to water them until they were shriveled and usually beyond saving).

The cancer is now long behind me and I would love to try my hand at growing AV's again and starting them from cuttings would make it all the more exciting.

Would any of y'all be willing to share leaves from your plants? I will gladly trade something from my garden or send postage. You're welcome to look through my diary http://davesgarden.com/journal/d/m/dstartz/ or my plant 'catalog' http://dstartz.com/MyPlants to see if I have somethign you might like a bit of.

With thanks for your consideration,

Donna/dstartz
