are any of you familiar w/ a type of kitchen hood (exhaust/light) that is inconspicuous and shallow? We took the cupboards over our stove out which included an old traditional hood and now we have open space into our dining room w/ only the counter dividing us. the plaster drops down a bit and is 18 inches wide with all the electrical wiring for the hood in the big hole. Someone told me I could get a light/exhaust combo that is very inconspicuous and could just trim it up w/ some molding. I have looked but not using the correct words I think for search engine? I am thinking of something less then 8 inches deep?
