In a discussion of ceiling fans, I mentioned my "popcorn" ceiling. My house is not that old, but it was built with that bumpy textured finish. The bathrooms have knockdown, which I like. I can't figure out how I ended up with the ugly stuff in the rest of the house.
How hard is it to remove this texture? Has anyone tried it before? How long will it take? What equipment would I need? I know it will be messy, but is it doable (without a professional)? Even if I could afford one, professionals are not easy to get around here due to all the new construction. My ceilings are ten feet high in the living area where I want to do the work.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Nancy
