This place was a mess! I should have taken a before shot, sorry.
We had to straighten some walls, but this is what we ended up with.
All handmade by my son & I.

Nice. I have such respect for you and your son, doing all that work. I'm sure you have lots of stories to tell. My DH and I are having our new cabinets and counters installed. It costs more money but it 'll save the marriage.

Mao, re: the price of marriage. LOL! Stories we can tell. When we were first married (30+ years)we had a VW Bug and my dh could do all the work on it. Well, I would have to hold a flashlight or set of tools for him like a surgical nurse and when the surgeon spoke I was to hand over the correct instrument. Between his tone of voice when asking for something and my inability to get the correct tool to him on the 1st try it was a blessing and a marriage saver when we got a new car and he could not do all that work on it. Cost more money but as you say, it saved a marriage.

Very nice, you and your son do GOOD work !!!!!! Looks super!!!!!

I think kitchens are the most expensive room in the house to re-do.

Dear Country Gardens,
What a beautiful kitchen. I am so envious of the pantry to the right of the refrigerator. I would kill to have that much storage in my tiny kitchen. I helped my husband install cabinets in our first home's kitchen. Not an easy job! Again, very lovely. Lucky you!

waaaah Im jealous I have the grottiest kitchen on the planet and tiny too
hopefully sometime be able to fix it (it has a pretty outlook though)...lovely kitchen Bernie...
absolutely love looking at kitchen pics...every time down under we see
a home in the U.S. on tv they have the biggest flashest kitchens makes one
think everyone has them. Actually I dont remotely desire them...I love small
kitchens and pretty colours... Most kitchens today look
impersonal and like restaurant kitchens just dont excite me at all...
Recently purchased two large melamine pantry type cupboards but want to
get a big wooden one also probably corner type one...cant start knocking stuff out
until about January but its good to get ideas on here. Congrats for hand making
yr kitchen Bernie.

This kitchen has led to greater things. We are close to getting a contract for 24 kitchens & 24 bath vanities from an apartment owner who saw this kitchen.
