| Thank you so much for this forum! I have been so inspired to get things done!
My DH and I finally got our Christmas tree down the other day and all the Christmas stuff is organized and put away.
Today I started going through one of my craft containers that has been sitting in my closet for many years. I found a bunch of stuff to give to my son's preschool teacher and she was thrilled to receive it. In doing this, I cleaned out a container to put all my acrylic paints into. After I did that I decided to go through my sewing container and my yarn container. I found bags and bags of scraps from old projects that should have been thrown away when the project was completed...so now I did...2 bags of garbage and an old crate went to the trash can today! Now all my stuff is very well organized, junk is thrown out, and I have a bag of stuff ready to take to Goodwill.
Tomorrow I vow to go through my scrapbooking stuff...that will be a CHORE!!! LOL
Thanks for the inspiration!! |

| TF ~ Yea! So glad to hear you got one more tree down! Wow, 6 trees? Where on earth do you put them all?
jcangemi ~ I do hope it helps you to be inspired...it's always nice to have someone to talk to about it. :-)
Sharon ~ Hope the weekend will give you some free time. :-)
And as for my vow to go through my scrapbooking stuff? Well, I forgot that my DH would be sleeping all day in preparation for working night shift...all my supplies are in our bedroom...sigh... Well, I decided to get my daylily seeds planted instead. They were in cups of water on my kitchen counter...taking up space. They are all planted now...just need to clean off the top of the dishwasher so I can move them from the kitchen table! LOL Does it ever end?

| Well, I have to say I am actually glad now that I never even pulled the Christmas decorations out this year! My FIL is ill, we were all going to NM to be with him, it's only me at home now, there was so much to do at work before I could leave... There was never any time, and now I don't have to put anything up!

| I am sorry about your FIL, maggiemoo.
I usually have all my Christmas packed and put up by January 2, but it's the 14th, but it's still out. I did take the tree down on the 8th and pack it away. I still have red berry garland on the plant shelf in the dining room. Today, I am getting it up.
To thin out some of the decorations, I am packing two containers for my DD who is getting married this Aug. I told her she can sell it, give it away, throw it away, or use it. It may help her to decorate for her first Christmas with her husband next year. |

| That's a neat way to both de-clutter your Christmas stuff, and to get your daughter started on her own Christmas traditon!
One year, when I was a teenager, we moved our "live" Christmas tree out by the side of the house, just stood it up against it, until we could find a way to haul it or have it hauled off (all girls in the house, no truck, the city didn't have any programs to recycle back in those days.) When it was still there in JULY, our neighbor asked my mother about it (this neighbor always worried about everything we did, lol.) My mother told her we were hoping it would take root! Then the neighbor started worryiing that it would take root, and the tree would be too close to the house!!!

Great idea, fireant13. We have a tradition of giving our boys an ornament every year for Christmas. When they get old enough to move out they get to take them with them. My DH and I give each other one also cuz we don't want to be left without any when the kids move out. ;-)
Tamara, hope you made it to the PO yesterday. I made myself go cuz I knew they would be closed on Monday and my stuff couldn't wait till Tuesday.
Well, I haven't done much today. I stripped my bed and got the sheets in the wash...and actually into the dryer too! LOL And I ran my dishwasher and then emptied it right away...that never happens! ;-) I think it's time to clean off my computer desk...every time I walk past it something falls off of it. What do you think, is that a good sign for me to clean it off? LOL |

| mgh. . .I been at that point w/my desk. It finally gets to critical mass and I'm forced to do something. I work so much better when it's organized. . .clutter desk, cluttered mind LOL.
Speaking of P.Office. My hubby just handed me my stamp order for a bunch of 2 centers and a couple of other ones I really liked. These will put you in mind of spring.

| Tamara, I know exactly how that is. This package was important to me to get it out right away only for one reason...I had ordered some clothes on the net and they didn't fit, so I wanted my money back. Money is a very good incentive for me! LOL
I have had those stamps too. I loved the Jim Henson ones!
Well, I guess my desk will be my project tonight. This is a picture of what my desk could look like if I cleaned it off. I think maybe I should print this out and tape it to my moniter to remind myself what I want the the desk to look like! Click the image for an enlarged view.

| I finally got all the Christmas ornaments and decorations packed up, and my daughter cleaned the garage for me. I still have to tackle the papers and clutter on my dresser. Maybe an after picture will help, but I don't know.
Your story about the tree is funny, maggiemoo. I stopped buying real trees because I can't manuever them on my own (my daughter is not always available at tree time). Plus she has the hatchback, and I don't. Now I have a fake tree.
I like the new stamps. |

| fireant13. . .I think they've been around awhile, as they're 37 cent. . .but anyway they're new to me. My grandkids love the muppets and their parents did too when they were that age. My 3rd son had a stuffed Kermit the Frog that he took everywhere. Then he lost it on a camping trip and nothing could replace it. What a disaster that was, poor Kermie, lost in the high Sierras. |

| I didn't notice the price. I thought that was fast for a new stamp. I know those childhood disasters. My daughter liked Punky Brewster and had a pair of Punky Brewster sneakers. Even when she outgrew the scruffy things, she was still trying to cram her feet into them. Losing her puppy purse that was another trauma. |

| One Christmas season I just could not face dismantling the artificial tree another time, so I printed a sign that said, “We celebrate Christmas all year long”, and placed it by the tree. It was a liberating experience, until Thanksgiving, when the grandchildren wanted to know where the presents were. |
