Hi fellow Iowan! Did you happen to notice that there's now a thread devoted entirely to Scrapbooking? Or maybe that's primarily for paper scrapbooking, not digital. Anyway, I'll put my two cents worth in here. Somewhere along the way I acquired Scrapbooks Plus from American Greetings. It's okay as a starting point, but I don't think I'd really recommend it. Actually for the most flexibility, I'd recommend that instead of a scrapbooking program you get a good image editing program like PaintShop Pro or Adobe Photoshop Elements. PSP is the one I use, and there are tons of tutuorials and forums about scrapbooking with PSP. I'd be happy to post some links if anyone is interested.

Hey-ya MartyJo fellow Iowan! Thanks for the info! So can a person actually make "digital type" scrap book pages with PSP? Right now I'm using Adobe Photoshop album starter, I think it came free with a printer or something, but it has minimal projects. I have'nt checked the scrapbooking thread but I will, and I'll check out PSP on line, thanks! Have a great day! Jill

Jill, have you googled 'digital scrapbooking' or something to that nature?

Does Adobe Photoshop album starter use layers? If it does, it may be all you need. To whet your appetite why don't you look a couple of free tutorials, like http://www.bannerwoman.com/tutorials/bwbasicpage.htm or http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/ps...
If you have a program that supports layers you may be able to follow the tutorials even though they were written for PSP. This is a good introduction about software:

If you register on the Digital Scrapbook Place site they give you a cool free page kit to use

momof2d,

I don't digital scrapbook but have been thinking about it. I've seen that there are a lot of different programs out there specifically for digital scrapbooking. But I have to agree with MartyJo 100% in recommending PSP or Photoshop. You can do absolutey anything you want with either program from drastically editing photos to creating your own elements and backgrounds without limitations. I've been using PSP since PSP 5 and I love it. Once you figure out what you're doing (which is fun with all of the tutorials available) there is no end to how creative you can be!

Branka,
This post is so old maybe no one will see it :( Then again maybe it will wake it up :)

I am a PSP junkie too.. I enjoy doing tuts & doing things on my own. I go to a forum where I do challanges & other things but not sure I can post the URL here. I don't want to cause a problem :) I have PSP 5-7-8 & 9 but use 9 mostly. I would like 10.. maybe someday. The animation is my biggest problem..

I love scraps & all the nice tubes out there. I have many filters but want them all .. LOL
I hope to hear from someone..
