I have a friend who owns this kind of easter egg plant and is no certain if it is harmful in any way to children or pets. Please e-mail me with information on this plant. Thank you Regina wallce
A friend gave me two plants about two months ago that were only about 2 to 3 inches high. The smaller of the two she said was not edible, but the larger one, which is a vine variety, was edible. I think all of the pictures on this site are what are listed as Solanum melongena, which must be a bush variety. I don't know what the vine variety is called, and if it is really edible. It has produced only one egg so far, and living in Minnesota, I will have to take them indoors in a month or so.
