| A work in progress!?! Spectacular gardens, daylily! I like your step-by-step pictures of the waterfall/pond/stream. I also like your ladder garden, your tree seat, and the deck. What a variety of plants! Your cats look sweet. Whenever I dig up holes, my cat thinks I am designing him new litter boxes, too. |

| Holy Smokes, what a garden!
Those Peonies are fabulous! Wish we could grow them here as they are a favorite of ours and that basement entry is really something indeed.
thanks for sharing!

| thanks!
fireant13. i did the stream in the fall, i never had a digital camera for the other projects. dad and i built the deck. he builts all the things for my yard and i help him. this winter he built us girls a buffet table to put beside the grill. he just finished a cupboard for me to put on the deck for the watering cans that i collect.
drdon. i love peonies but i would love to be able to grow the cactuses that you grow.

| hiya daylily,
Isn't that one of the great things about this forum? We can walk around virtually in other's gardens and place ourselves there in an environment where plants we cannot grow thrive and flourish. I truly want to grow peonies and have three chinese tree peonies in their third year with a few to go before I can expect blooms. They suffer terribly during our hot, dry weather. When the cactus are doing well the peonies suffer...lol. So I've got to get a grip on my zone denial...lol.
Your gardens are truly amazing. I do hope to see more pics of your peonies this season.
best,

| Oh my, my only complaint is that your cat pics were too small for me to really see them. I love cats!! What a yard. What a pond. What an incredible backdrop of huge evergreens. You even have old birdcages, a joy of mine also. WHAT A GARDEN! I am so impressed. THANKS for the tour.
PS and I guess you love daylilies too. LOL |

| you're welcome!!
i found a larger ladder to use in the garden. i'm looking for a extension ladder to lean on the side of the house to grow a vine on.

| libby, don't tell your dh this but my dh doesn't help in the garden. he helps with the local high school baseball team and helps with summer ball so his season is from feb to aug. the dh does help in the house, he is great with dishes, supper and laundry. the garden is my vision, my dad built all the wooden garden items. dad and i built the deck together. the dh tells me all the time, i must have been a ground mole in another life. LOL

| Your gardens have such personalities and touches of whimsey. And Dad is quite a catch! We should all have a Dad like that. Tell him how much I admire his handiwork please.
Your place is somewhere to explore and that's the kind of garden I love. You've carved little jewels into a large expanse and it's not so easy to do.
