Those patterns are paintings, with shading, etc, that is not going to be there when done in glass, so they will never look as they do in the patterns - you can't judge a stained glass pattern properly until you see it in plain old black and white, in which case you might be surprised at how it really looks!
I just like drooling over them and wishing I had the time. My next project is actually putting new legs on my light table-THEN I can think about glass.
I must respectfully disagree with you, 2zeus. These images may or may not be watercolors but I don't see anything that couldn't be reproduced in glass with careful selection. This is why Oceana, Urborous, Bullseye, Fischer (no longer producing but glass is still available), Fremont, etc. create multi-colored and shaded glasses. One can be quite painterly with glass. This is what the whole Tiffany LaFarge movement was about - Letting glass alone (as opposed to the practice of painting on glass which was still done by them for faces & hands) make the statement. One can also paint, fuse, etch, plate glass to achieve desired results. The patterns in question, however, could be recreated without those measures.
Also, although they say that these are all original patterns, several of the Victorian patterns are not original. The one at the bottom (Victorian with purple & cream) is an actual Victorian window & the pattern can be found in Ed Sibbet's wonderful Victorian pattern book (Dover - public domain).
In addition to our stained glass work we are able to enhance the design detail and beauty of the glass through the use of etching and fired painting techniques.
Some of the free patterns are also patterns of the month and also a lot of them are on Spectrum's , Alpine Glass or Sunshine Glassworks CD's.
It will say at the bottom of the pattern sometimes.
I love the koi/waterlily piece on the home page ;-)
