Perfectly beautiful ;-D

What is the name of the glass you used ?

-or- is it painted ?

Looks like something I could use.
TIA

Thanks ! Scooterbug, the glass is just basic black and white glass from Spectrum. I used black grout so it blends in, can't see the grout lines.

Those are great. You say you used grout. Is it mosaic? If so did you glue to glass or wood? I thought it was done with lead or foil. Good job. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Betty, Yes, I used black grout and it is just strips of black and white glass that I cut to kinda look like zebra stripes. The bases are made of MDF which my hubby made for me and the tray they sit on are just covered with big pieces of black glass and grouted also.

Very striking looking.

I have a table that I am just about to finish, almost ready for grout. I started two tables for the deck, the other is almost ready to start gluing down. I have always got to have a dozen or so projects going on. LOL

Thanks and I know what you mean about more than one project. I usually work on two at a time so while one is drying I can work on another..right now I have 3 in progress! I am running out of room to work!

Hi Sandy, well if you want know how I got my hubby to do it for me, here's the answer. I quit my corporate (dreadful but good paying) job, starting buying ALOT of glass and set up a workshop. Then I paid alot of money for bases to do my work on. ( Also, the everyday bills still were coming in) I said, "Hey Hon, this is what I am going to do for my new job! The next thing I know, he set up a workshop, bought saws and all kinds of power tools. Now I draw what I need and he loves making all the bases for me. Now, I am afraid,,,he wants to give up his day job..lol!

Thanks for the info I am learning slowly but surely I am not totally convinced I should because I could imagine getting very hooked very fast the good news is I already have alot of the power tools I would need a new bit for my grinder but the rest I think I could make due.
mangomo great story wish I had your nerve I think/dream of stepping out of corporate america at least a million times a day.

old_rose...I just reread this post and I have to tell you that I am soooo glad I gave up the dreaded day job. I have so many orders that are keeping me busy and I just get up and go to work in my jammies everyday with my dog by my side...no boses! It's worth taking the chance if you really want to do it!
