Anybody have a good suggestion for a good way to unclog my shower drain? I can't use DR_ _ _ O because it would eat through the pipe, but my shower is stopped up! What to do? Thanks!

Have you tried a plunger? It helps ours, at least temporarily. We bought a clean one just for the bathtub and shower. Hopefully someone else will have a more permanent suggestion. :-)

Yes, I used it just this morning :)

But I'd like to get it permanently unclogged! At least for a while.

How to do it permanently depends on what the problem is that's making it slow in the first place. If it's just hair and stuff going down the drain and getting stuck, you can use a snake to go and fish it out, then to prevent more hair and stuff from going down the drain there are plastic catch things that you can buy for a few dollars and put over the drain to keep anything but water from getting down there. But, if the drain is slow because there are some tree roots that have grown into the pipes at some point or if the pipes are old and have a lot of buildup and corrosion that restricts water flow then you'll need a professional.

No, the drain is about five years old, and there aren't any trees around the pipes. I think it's just an accumulation of five years of taking showers... Thanks, ecrane3.
