Two of my four Brugs are blooming. The bloom is very scented. You can really smell them in the evenings.

Sunnyaz- I love that color! Mine are also blooming and the smell after dark is so sweet! I think they are such a great plant. (Of course, in looking around the yard, I now have 17 in pots... great plants and quite addictive indeed!)

Jo- I may just have to subscribe, a brug forum is always a treat.
PS. - No, no relation to the pastor... :)

Nice! very nice! I found one of these, amazingly enough, at Walmart. As soon as I saw it peeking over the tops of some plants, a couple aisles away, I almost knocked an old lady over getting to it. (Never stand between a plantaholic and a plant...)

It's on my patio right now. It gets morning sun. I haven't had a problem with them freezing. All of mine are sheltered though.

okay fishie, looking forward to seeing your blooms again! i'm trying a new horticultural oil this year on the plumeria. it's only for the random ones that i put in the gh this winter for experimentation and the ones that are in the house on the heat mat. i saw spider mites and white flies on the ones inside in under two weeks. sheesh! where do those darn spider mites come from. i think that just materialize out of thin air.

the pesticidal oil contains no petroleum products. it's 96% canola oil and 4% other ingredients. i used it today and it was not messy. 4-tsp per quart of water. it's used to control all stages of insects and eggs - aphid, mites and whiteflies are pictured on the front! it works for other pests, too.

Yep, our Whiskers is blooming too.

Hey, is there a 'brochure' or 'flyer' here at the site somewjere for printing out that would introduce someone to Davesgarden? I have seen a nice yard with lots of cool specimen plants, etc. and I'd like to put a flyer on her door or hand it to her.

some of the aphids i sprayed yesterday or dead today. might need another application for them. the leaves have a sheen to them. i guess the oil makes the leaves undesirable to lay eggs on or bite.

Carl, I don't think there is, but you might post over on the DG forum. Someone there might know if there's something, and, if there isn't, it might be something that would be good to have put together.

There's no such thing as only one brug! Good luck with the Charles Grimaldi but I'm sure you don't need it.
