Hello! I hope there is someone out there who can help me. I have linoleum in my kitchen and want to install a laminate floor - hubby and I plan to do it ourselves. We are not completely remodeling the kitchen, so the cabinets will be staying. I have a free standing range and I am concerned about how to make sure that the range doesn't sit an inch above the countertop AFTER the new floor is installed. Someone mentioned to me once to NOT put the floor under the range, but then the drawer on the bottom of the range will not open, and for some reason, not putting the flooring under the range just didn't sound right. Any help on this one? Thanks!

Most ranges have adjustable legs that screw in and out. Check to see if you can screw them in all the way, that would lower the height of the stove. Most laminates are only about a quarter of an inch thick so I dont think it would make a very big difference.

Most flooring isn't installed below the range. Just run it a little below the skirt on the bottom and you'll never see the difference. escambiaguy is correct that the product is very thin, so it shouldn't impede your drawer.

Do it above the range.

Kind of like covering the range up in a cozy laminate blanket? haha
