I just found any old hat pattern that I liked and then searched for a pattern for the ears. I imagine you could do the same for the 4-yr. old size. I did find a pattern for ears that although I haven't made look like they may be bigger than the ones I made for Gracee.
Sorry I am so late in posting, but haven't been on much. Let me know if you want the pattern for bigger ears.
