I notice that many grots and fantasy creatures have facial features added, carved...and that the surfaces aren't always just smooooooooth.
Is there a big secret to the eybrows/nose/lips additions? Must there be 'hardware' to hold up the 'tufa...like wire?
If chicken wire or other wire (with holes) is used, do you fill the holes with newspaper...understand what I am asking? Doesn't the 'tufa just flow thru it?
If you sculp the 'tufa...at what point in the consistency do you sculp? All at once or a bit at a time?
Can you answer these questions...or direct me to the info that does. Having never made a piece yet...I guess I am asking the obvious...but just wait til I get started!!!
