Hi! I have concrete/pebble rock all around my house and pool. Every year I spend 2 weeks pressure washing the black goo, only to have it return over the winter. Any ideas about something to apply to prevent its inevitable return??
Soak it with a 1 part bleach to 3 parts water solution ( We use a scrub brush on a broom handle to apply and scrub a bit) for 10 min. to half an hour (less time on a sunny day!). That will dicourage it for a while. The bleach will break down, but don't splash it on your plants. Maybe cover those areas with a tarp while you're working.
We do that on our deck to keep the mold/mildew/moss at bay.
