Magnolia that started it all

Headland, AL(Zone 8a)

This magnolia is the first thing I ever painted...with the exception of some minor stuff I did when I was 19. This made me realize that I could long as I was painting florals. LOL!

Very Pretty BamaBelle.

Those are very pretty. How big are they? What medium are they besides the watercolor ones. That Iris is beautiful and I know its small.

They vary in size. The Iris was 5x7. Some of the pieces are 8x10. The largest are 16x20. I find anything larger than 16x20 a little daunting. Mostly I use either watercolors or acrylics. I don't like oils because I have 5 cats and it is hard enough to keep them out of the paints as it is! I get a little frustrated when I get up to go to the restroom and come back to find brightly colored paw prints tracking down the hall from my pallette. The bamboo piece was a mixed media of handmade paper, collage, watercolor and some ink.
