Here is a quilt I just finished for my sister. Every pice of fabnric is purple, some of the circles are hand embroidered in complimentary purple feather stitches and the entire quilt is hand pieced and hand embroidered. I finished it last night and all I have left to do is clean it and photograph the finished product (this is a pic of a portion that was partially completed...I need to put the quilt on a bed and photograph it now.) I have been working on this project for about three years. It took longer than expected because I had to stop and do some projects for my MIL in the middle of it...including making a quilt for my MIL! The Purple Passion Quilt is in the Grandmother's Garden pattern (as are most of my quilts), but it is a bit modified form the tradtional pattern because of the diamond and triangles tjat set off each section. It also does not have the square edges. Instead the edges follow the circle patterns and the border is pieced out of the diamonds and triangles. I'll post a pic of it on a bed once I get the picture taken.
