What's the latest info on the so called "hardy Queen Palm"? The European Palm Society gives it credence as does the Northern California Palm Society ... I'm tucked away in the southeastern coastline in North Carolina and am beginning to itch for more info on just such a palm. Typical queen palms can do rather well here if planted with greater size, but a hardier provenance might open up an entirely new look for this bastion of Sabals and Butias ... anyone out there with a flourish of wisdom on this...?
