I found a website awhile back that was a nursery/garden that had a garden tour in North Carolina somewhat close to Durham/Raleigh area or within several hours at least. It was owned I believe by a gal who had landscaping business and giftshop there too. It was a cute country looking website. Could any of you help me find it. Can't seem to by doing a search here on DG. Many thanks.
I wonder if you mom knows my sister who is also a master gardener from that area. That's who this tour was for, and a gift cert. for her to the nursery. Thanks. Oh my sister works as a volenteer at the Duke garden. Do allot with their craft sales each year.
My folks live in New Bern, which is a couple hours from Raleigh. They moved there a couple of years ago, but are only there 1/2 the year. When my dad retired, they sold the big house, moved to NC, and bought a little house and a big boat. The sail south for the winter every year. When I grow up, I want to do the same thing.
I checked with her yesterday and it didn't ring a bell.
I understand that the Garden Conservancy's Open Days program is coming to Raleigh. I am trying to find out more information. I believe there will be 6 fantastic gardens on tour. I beleive it is in the fall this year!

The Garden Conservancy's Open Day tour will be in Raleigh again this fall. September 22nd and 23rd. There are 5 gardens in Raleigh that will open ther gates for the Garden Conservancy also benefiting the JC Raulston Arboretum. If you are not already a member of the JCRA, a great reason to joining...Chris keeps us all informed of programs the JCRA are sponsoring. He also will soon list the 5 gardens with a photo and a short write up on each garden. I understand 2008 is also in the planning! Yeah! Last years' tour was fantastic.
