Vickie, I love Dr Ruppel. Mine is just in its 2nd year but it's putting out flowers, so I'm not going to complain (too much).

Thanks :-) I really think it blooms more and longer than any of the other 10+ that I have and it's the earliest too and the only one that blooms from the ground up. This one is probably 5 or 6 years old.

Vicki, it's really beautiful. I only hope that mine blooms as well some day. And it's nice that it blooms from the bottom as well as the top.

I am so jealous. I cannot grow those here- certain clematis but not that one. It's beautiful!

Thanks! I only wish they all bloomed like this, Ramona comes the closest but still not nearly as many blooms. Normally I cut it back to about 12" but this year I didn't touch it and I think it bloomed just as well, less maintance...that's a good thing :-)
