Maybe you can help me. My pride of madeira has become very leggy after 5 years. Can it be cut back or does it have to be replaced and what's the best time to do that? The bees love it so much I hate to cut off the flowers for even a short time but it's not looking as good as it might.

I used to cut mine back all the time... seemed to handle it fine. However, digging it up and moving it killed it (touchy roots I guess)

Thanks, I'll cut it back then. It's really big and I hate to lose it.
