Okay, so Ive got a question/appeal for suggestions. My house faces east/west. As you can imagine, during the summertime the western portion is just baking. I have two windows on that side that need some coverage below them. I have bougainvillea on either side, but directly below the windows is still bare. Here are my requirements: 1. Can handle the laser-like western sun, 2. Will spread, but not grow tall, and 3. Hopefully have some scented blossoms. Ive considered Lady Banksia rose, but it gets too tall and would cover the windows themselves. Cats claw is out, oleander is a no-go, and snail vine is undesirable. Ive got a cape jasmine nearby, so that would be redundant. Nothing too toxic, as my tortoises also graze in the area. Okay, now that my undesirables are named, what would you people suggest?
Thanks,
DD
