Good morning. It has been a long long time since I have written. I have "missed you guys" (just like drdon).
I am looking for some help and input. It seems that I am becoming a home of sorts to farm animals that are injured, abused, motherless, or strays. Currently I have a 4-mth old heifer and a -mth old bull calf that are lame. The latter has a broken leg with the bone showing; a new dog, Roxy, has come to live with us. She has a mild case of heartworms and just recently we weaned her pupppies and adopted them out. There have been others (puny motherless goats and a couple of sad little barbadoes).
So, I am looking for a place in Texas where I can place some of these wonderful creatures where they can live out their lives safely and in good health. All of the animals I have taken in have been seen by a vet, doctored, and given their shots. Their living quarters are clean and their feed is nutritious. And of course, I love on them if they let me.
I do not own a livestock trailer but do have access to one; therefore, I could transport if need be. I am very willing to do anything I can to help the adoptors and to continue to care for other farm animals as they come my way.
I am going to get some snaps of them today, and I will post those to this forum.
I thank you all in advance for your help.
