Two years in a row, I have planted Caladiums in containers and they just wilt and die. They are in partial shade, well watered, etc. I wonder if I am planting them too deep? As they are sort of tubers ...is there some rule about the soil level around them ...like Irises ...do they have to have an "eye" above the ground or something?? I can't find anything in my gardening books and I love the look of them with purple flowers ...great combination if I could get them to grow! Anyone an expert out there??
