Hi-
Everyone's artwork on this forum is so pretty!! I thought I would share a project we just finished.
I am a homeschool mom and the kids and I just made these bird baths for fun. We got the idea from the current Birds and Blooms Extra magazine. We've never done anything with tile before.
These are totally unprofessional but my kids (ages 7 & 9) had a blast making them and coming up with their own designs.

Your kids are very creative and their workmanship is excellent! If I saw those at a craft show somewhere I would not hesitate to buy them. Congratulations Lisa and Kids!

Thanks so much...we've actually had friends ask us when we are going to make bird baths for them. LOL I think they could make nice gifts...I always love homemade gifts.

Tell the children they are on their way to being mosaic artists..kids have such a great thought process in art..not afraid to to do what their heart tells them...keep up the creative process and thanks for sharing.

Love your bird baths!!! I agree with the others. I would have never guessed they were done by kids. I am gonna pass that along to a woman I volunteer with at a local garden and see if we can make that a project for kids there.

Funny thing is...I think the bunnies are drinking the water every night because it keeps dissapearing and I keep refilling every morning. LOL
As long as some little crittter enjoy it...we're happy.

OH!!!! Since you mentioned snakes I have to share my snake story from this week. The kids and I were on a nature trail. They were up ahead riding their bikes and I was walking. I thought I seen a "dead" snake on the side of the trail because it was curled up and looked real dusty and dull in color...so I thought to myself..."ok I'll get a closer look since it isn't alive"...Well guess what??? It was quite alive and it hissed at me and then shot straight through my legs and down to the river...I think I scared it as bad as it scared me...I'm sure they could hear my screams for miles!! LOL Needless to say I won't do that ever again!
Lisa

edited for spelling...it's the teacher in me :)
