Did my first FM this passed Tuesday over in bigger town 20 miles south of here. Only took perennials and a few annuals this trip just to see what would sell. Was surprised that I sold more one gal.plants than the 4" perennials I was trying to move @$2.50 per or 3 for $6.00(trying to get out of some potting up). I can't retire on what I made this trip but I did clear expenses and made a tiny bit. Lots of folks said they weren't expecting such nice plants at FM so they didn't come prepared to buy anything but veggies. All said they would watch for my little John Deere green school bus so they'd know I was there next time. Lots of complements on size and health of my plants even from another growers.
Squash, zuc's,new potatoes and eggs seem to be main sellers. Green tomatoes were in demand but the only one selling tomatoes up and left early.
