After years of having this huge pile of broken pieces of concrete, I've finally thought of a way to use the rest of them. I've already used them to create my concrete walls in the garden, and I've put in a patio in the shady area of the yard. Now I'm finally landscaping the huge front area by the driveway and I'm using these instead of buying expensive landscaping rocks. The idea is that I will place the rocks, and then apply tufa to the parts of the rock that show. This will save me from having to cover the entire piece of concrete, thus saving on materials. Also, I won't have to wait until the tufa cures to move the rocks, since they will already be in place.
I'll be using a basic mix of sand, cement, and peat moss and I'll be experimenting with some colorants in the mix so that they won't all look exactly the same. I will also be adding a bonding agent that helps the mixture stick to cured concrete.

I have some large pieces that will become boulders, and I have one piece that is really big and heavy that i will be making into a bench. It will take weeks to finish, but meanwhile, I am able to get the area planted. I figure I can get out my electric concrete mixer and do a batch at a time.

Here's what's left of my cement pile. It was twice this size easily. Ain't it purty? We had to rent a huge rock dolly to move some of the pieces, and even then it took two of us.
