I've moved beyond grabbing a few quart baskets or plastic flats at the occasional yard sale. But I don't know that I've always found the best resources for purchasing the things market gardeners need, either. And I don't have very good local places. At this point, the shipping charge equals what I'd spend in gas
Could we start a thread about online resources? Things like egg cartons, bouquet sleeves, pint / quart baskets, and nursery items like flats, pots, etc. Our market provides some nice shopping bags, but I'd like to have some other sizes as well. And plastic bags for lettuce - sooner or later the box I have here, which someone gave me, will run out, and I don't know where to get more. I've checked a few sites, but I can't tell exactly which bag I want.
I'm all for scrounging and freecycling and anything else that's greener and cheaper than purchasing new, but sometimes you need to buy stuff. What great online places have you found?
