Has anyone had any experience using a ProCom Propane Blue Flame Heater in a greenhouse. They claim that they are 99.9% efficient and don't require a vent. It is supposed to produce almost zero CO. Just produces CO2 and water. I'm concerned about other combustion products that might be produced.

Anyone have any actual experience with them?

Thanks for any feedback you may have.

Ventless wall heaters are a great thing! Super high efficiency, low maintenance, and they just plain work good. They are definitely safe for people, plants, and animals.

We have the ProCom propane heater that looks like a wood stove. It is very efficient and does work beautifully. It's got a thermostat, so it goes off when it gets warm enough. It's very econimical to use, heats our whole house, about 900 sq. ft, ... with a small electric heater for the bedroom (also thermostat controlled). I really like everything about it, ... almost.

The only problem I have, which is a serious problem, is that I have never had asthma before, but the 2 winters we've had this heat, I have. Last winter I was a little suspicious that maybe the heater was causing it, but hoping not. This year, as soon as we started using heat...yep, it's back. There's no doubt in my mind, that the unvented heat is the problem. But for a greenhouse, or an area where you won't be enclosed daily for long lengths of time... it would be great. They are a very good product as far as operation and reliability has been concerned.
