Hi!
I live in Northeast Kansas close to the Missouri line and just bought four majesty palms. They are on my deck facing the east. There are lots of trees to shade the deck but parts of the deck are in full sun all day. They are in their original plastic pots in original soil and get plenty of drainage. They are four to five feet tall. Directions say to water once a week with a lot of water and only once a week. Here in Kansas we have a lot of hot, humid weather. Is it OK to leave them on the deck in some of the spots that get full afternoon sun? Should I repot them now or wait till next summer? Do I need to mist them 2-4 times a week? Should I water them a little 2-4 t imes a week in the pots on my deck or just soak them once a week? What kind of pesticides should I use to keep away ants as this area is full of ants and bugs that love to attack my plants. Thanks.
