Hello,
I am new here and just love this site. I have two boys ages 8 and 2. I have been a stay at home mom since my youngest was born.
When I say stay at home, I mean stay at home. I usually only leave the house once or twice a week. So...I am looking for some adult conversation. lol. Hubby is always at work.
My youngest son Braxton is 2 1/2 and was diagnosed with autism in Feb. He also has alot of sensory processing issues. He has just recently started walking by himself. He doesn't say but a handful of words. We have therapists in and out of the house 4 days a week. Most of the time it is nearly impossible to take him in public. He has been like that since he was about 6 months old. He doesnt have major meltdowns which I am so thankful for (except in public)
So... I was just wondering if there where other parents on here who are dealing with the same situation.

My 8 1/2 year old son is a handful. I have been told he is ADHD by one doctor and hyperactive by another doctor. After much consideration I tried medication on him. It only made him 100 times worse. I recently took him to a new doctor and was finally listened to. This doctor thinks Zac is highly intelligent/at genius level. They believe he is just bored. He is going to go through a bunch of testing before the new school season starts. He has never really played with toys. He gets almost straight A's in school. And his teacher says that he doesnt even apply himself. He seems to have a hard time getting along with other children and prefers adult company..

We have three male boston terriers and two cats. I enjoy computers, reading, gardening and crafts. I also sell on ebay. I enjoy canning and cooking.

This looks like a great site! I hope to start getting to know everyone.

Julia
