A sign at my doctors office said that 40 weeks is "to term" but I've had many people tell me it happens before or after this.

When I asked for a due date for mine the doctor gave me a day in November but said it's really give or take yet everyone seems to expect to hear a specific due date.

At what week did you deliver your baby at?

Edited to say: I ended up delivering at 38 and 5/7ths weeks.
