Hi All!

Do you have children who are budding artists?

Here’s a great idea for a child’s bedroom or playroom. There is a paint available known as "blackboard" paint. You can paint it on any wall and turn it into a blackboard surface. It should be available at your local home center store.

This picture I took is how one family even created a stage with it. Only the black background is paint, everything else is chalk:

Hope you enjoy this idea. Let me know.

Yours,
- Melisa

FANTASTIC! I think this is a great idea especially for those who would like to draw & change a theme or look of a room often.

My dad used to bring home extra blackboard paint when he was a custodian at his school. We had lots of different things painted with it.

Be sure to have a VERY smooth surface before starting and use a high quality foam brush for best application.

Not just for kids!!!

I'm making two boards...one for my kitchen and one for my fiance's office (he's ADD and needs a way to keep track of things). All it takes is a paintable grade piece of 1/4 board and some molding. I'm putting cork on one side and painting the other then framing it out w/ some hooks at the bottom for keys and such.
