My best sell of the season. I’m sure most of have you have never seen any of my post about my neighbors granddaughter. She loves coming over playing in my garden and helping pot plants, water, feed the fish etc. She likes doing anything to get dirty and wet.
She was over this afternoon and wanted to know what all the plants where for I said they are for sale. “She said but why you love you plants?” I tried to explain to make money so I could by more plants. Lol Remember she is 5 years old and says “oh I see then you can buy more plants and sell some of those and buy more” (She understood it better than I thought)
The next conversation was how much do you sell them for? I told her things where different prices and asked why was there something she was wanting? She said yes I want that red flower, I told her what it was and that it was not potted to sell but she could pick any of the others, I was a daylily by the way. She picked out another one and said I have 1.00 and some change. I told her a quarter; she came back with a dollar and said the quarter was not enough. Lol So I did take her dollar she said she really wanted to buy if for her mom with her own money.
In the process she saw I did have one of the red ones potted and changed her mind about which one she wanted. Then she wanted to know how much I really sold them for I told her and she said man I got a deal. I could see her thinking and I knew what was coming. I asked her if there was something else she was wanting, she said yes but I just have change left. She wanted the other daylily she picked out too. I told her to take it too.
She looked at me and said oh you are having a 2 for $1.00 sale. Now tell me how a 5 year old knows about sales?
Anyway this was the best sale all season. I thought ya’ll might enjoy the story.
