I'm very interested in this Bale Garden! A friend just recently told me about planting strawberries in "clean straw" bales to help keep the slugs away. We live in berry country, so growing them(slugs and berries) isn't a problem. My Uncle at one time grew tomatoes in hay...What are the reasons and benefits of bale gardening? S~
