Whoo -Hooo- Monday thru Saturday

All Stained Glass is half off at Hobby Lobby.
No limit

aaaand ... don't forget the printable only on line coupon for 40% off any one item.
Could be a good time to get that grinder you have always wanted hehehehehe

It has been a few weeks since their last sale so there should be a good assortment to choose from.

If I am lucky I will find some I can use toward Toby's portrait in glass

The Hobby Lobby up by us is having a huge sale on everything!! We were there last week and they had wrought iron benches that sell for over a $100 for $65. Sculptures that are over a $100 for about $20-30. Pretty much everything in the store was marked down. We made sure to get what we wanted and left before we spent too much money.

I would be too but I am VERY accident prone and am not trustworthy around glass. LOL. I love stained galss and all the others but am always breaking something here. Mainly our plates and drinking glasses. We do not have full sets of glasses any more because they break when I get near them. So metal and wood for me!!

Oh no ,

I'm talking about sheets of Stained glass sold by the pound or square foot ,

that we use to fabricate doors, windows, suncatchers, little glass keepsake boxes , etc.

Take care,
Shirley

Picabo, Thanks but it is not my window.

DD who lives up in the North Woods sent me that picture asking if I could make her another one like it.

Too bad I am not into using came for construction yet , looks like it would be easy to cut.

heeeeeeeeeeee, that is what I'm afraid of.
the quarters are soo cramped here I need to stick to one thing at a time.

Just in case,
I do have some assorted lead came, dykes and a vise if I ever want to tinker with it.

Scooterbug, I hope your new home will incorporate a great big studio space. The more space you have, the more great pictures of work we'll be able to enjoy!

Oh fur shure

There will be a large size extra room or better yet a small outbuilding that I can make into a studio.

I surely can handle that after all the demolishing and re-modelings I have done in our house over the years.
Piece a cake !

I thought I found a property but found out it is under subdivision rules even to it had 6 acres and not a neighbor to be seen. O-poo

heeeeee, I have seen some that were tempting to me just because of a nice big shop building but the poor ol house was on a pile of rocks. I cant grow rocks !!! LOL

I'm getting unexpected help from a good friend we used to show horses with. They divorced and we lost touch a few years ago.
Come to find out she is now a realtor and of course specializes in horse property.
. ... a realestate angel ??? hahahaha

That's great, a good friend with a real estate license is a good thing to have! I hope she'll be able to help you find the place that's just right. Looking is fun but also kind of stressful...it's such a huge commitment. I know the right place is out there for you, just waiting for you to drive up.

Yeah, drive up 600+ miles that is the hardest part.

Good thing Sagittarius's' are known to be travelers lol

anywho ...
Got some black, browns, ambers and grey SG today for Toby's head study panel.

I will need to order some of the colors from the local studio but at least I got a start.

Aha, caught you all trying to buy my stained glass, did I? LOL.

Yesterday I was finally able to swing by Hob Lob. I didn't buy too much
considering I make a mad dash every time they have this sale. This time
I bought only seven sheets of amber and two sheets of cobalt blue. I
just love these colors of glass!

Not quite sure what I am going to do with all of the amber, but having recently
purchased a new bedspread and such, I just knew it was calling my name. The
windows are calling.

Someone hid several sheets behind other things on the aisle, so if any of you
did this in the Muskogee store, I'm sorry - I bought it! LOL.

I'd love to buy the grinder with the 40% off coupon, but I'm bound and determined
to find it cheaper. Hob Lob marks their stuff up so high! I must say, though, I
recently bought some very nice glass and brass items which were originally
marked $70.00 each for $14.00. If not for their 80% clearance, I would never
have half the items I drag home from Hob Lob.

The funny thing about that darn coupon is that believe it or not, I could not find
anything to buy with it! No kidding! I thought, hmm, what a pretty item for my
mother, I'll use the coupon. Nope, it's already half off. How about a floral spray?
Nope, on sale. A candle? Nope, on sale, too. I finally decided that I would be
using the coupon just for the sake of using it, when I could likely wait one week and
the same item would be 50% off.

Now I just have to watch the sales for frames to hit 50% off. I bought a print with
a very nice quote yesterday for the hallway, but I'm not giving forty bucks to frame
a ten dollar print. LOL.

By the way, have any of you printed the 'text only' version of the coupon? What
a way to send the entire staff scrambling!

If a man does not keep pace with his companions,
perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music which he hears,
however measured or far away.

Hah! Wuvie,

I usually go and look when they have glass on sale.
This has been the first SG sale in a while.
We went through a dry spell.

I also tend to buy glass just 'cause I just like it. Most if it sits here waiting to be used for ' ... ('-'?)
Yet I seldom have what I need when I want to make something, but it sure is purty to look at ... lol

Just got back from H L and handed the bill to DH. I don't think he is speaking to me right now. LOL
Made it even worse, I stopped at a plant store and 2 Estate sales on the way. Poor DH... I just can't pass those things without stopping. LOL

Picabo,

Make hubby feel a bit better. At least you didn't pull in the
driveway with a box van. :-)
